One Year!

Our Jordan Kate turned ONE year old on Sept. 10!
Below: Celebrating by enjoying a cupcake with our neighbors.

Opening presents is serious business. Her siblings were all too eager to help her open them up.

Trip to the zoo: Jordan has loved seeing dogs in the parks lately and says "Dah, dah," (repeatedly, and with enthusiasm) every time we see one. I figured she would love going to the petting zoo. The kids and I headed there for a couple hours after Naomi got out of school at 12:30 (she has a short day every Wednesday). Jordan loved the goats. She was patting them in the belly and trying to grab their ears! She couldn't stop talking, either!

Below are some shots of the crazy siblings that Jordan has survived with for the first year of her life:

Jordan doing some of her favorite things: Books, playing on the porch, eating & swinging at the park.

Soccer girl

We have officially entered the realm of 'competetive' sports with our kids...

Naomi started soccer! She practices one day a week. She's all decked out with her sweet pink soccer socks, shoes with pink stripes, and pink water bottle. (You have to keep it girly with her!) Every Saturday morning she has a game through November. She is in the U6 league which is co-ed. They have 5 players on the field at a time and their coaches to help direct them. They are all spiffed out in uniforms - personalized with names on the back, too!
It's fun. We're proud of her. Even Isaiah yells for her!

Caring for a doll...

This is how Jordan takes care of her baby doll...

Turns out she's going to need the practice. Number 4 is due in April!

School Begins

Naomi had her first day of Kindergarten on September 2nd!
She was so excited and ready to go to school all day, every day. According to her, she was most excited about meeting new friends! I was a little sad when I dropped her off on the first day, but when I saw her get in the front of the line, ready to lead, I was so confident she would do fine. As we were going away, Isaiah started to cry a bit and said, "I'm gonna miss her." Each day this week he would run to give her one last hug when she was walking to her class.

Nomi did a great job her first day and had a lot of fun, but she was tired by the end of the long day. She was ready for a nap, and so was Jordan.
