December

Church Christmas pageant. Such a cliche, but still really cute.

Naomi as a shepherd.

Naomi, it turns out, is an academic over-achiever. Who knew.

Mud Bricks

A little home project with Danny and the three big kids: mixing mud (in the right proportions of ingredients, of course), mixing with straw and water, and casting real mud bricks.

When they were dry, they built a little semi-circular wall to look like a castle.

Still drying out here.

Update: freakish rains for four consecutive days topped our wall. Oh, well. It was still a lot of fun to have a dirty project and understand ancient technology.

Carving & Candy

Halloween is here!
We carved our pumpkins at Naomi's friend's house.

Naomi and Angelica got to carve by themselves this year, designing their own and working together.

Jordan quickly made a new friend, as is typical.

Danny's always in for the best design, just to show us all up.

I was Isaiah's assistant. He picked the hardest design, but with a little help, I was able to pull it off.

Here is the final product. We brought home 5 or 6 of them. Our neighbor saw them in front of our door and said, "No one is going to come to our door" because had no pumpkins. So, we donated a couple. ;)

Just for laughs, our dear friend, Aimee, showed us her amazing Mrs. Brady costume that she wore to work at a local high school. Naomi had to show Aimee her rock star get-up!

For Halloween we invited our friends to join the fun. They also have 4 kids, so we made a crazy crew. Try to find our kiddos: Rock star Naomi, Black Spiderman Isaiah, Princess Jordan & In-N-Out worker Joel.

(Almost) Dr. Danny & his buddy, Dr. Mark.

Ok, how cute is our little 18 month mini In-N-Out worker?

October Festivities

What a tiring month! :) This was just too cute not to put up. Danny has been reading Narnia to the big kids and Jordan always asks to join. She normally wiggles too much, but this night she just relaxed and was gone!

Just down the street from us is the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. We have fighter jets flying over our house every day to practice, but once a year they have an A-mazing air show. Here are some highlights. (We also saw the Blue Angels, but couldn't take pics of them whizzing by our heads!)

We got to walk through this plane (above).
The next 2 pictures show how unbelievably enormous this aircraft is!

Look closely for Isaiah's head in the window.

Jordan, the Big Girl!

Our Jordan Kate turned 3! She is full of life, and full of fun!

She loves lollipops so we had a scavenger hunt for all the kids to find them.

The fun cake Danny and I made. Danny was the architect & I decorated it.

Jordan has many preferences, which she does not hesitate to tell us about. Here are a few...

Milk not Water

Flip flops not shoes

Gum!!

Little fork not a big fork

Purple or pink anything

Little pens not big pens

Big girl chair not a booster seat

Tank tops not T-shirts

Skirts not shorts

Shower not bath

Walk not riding in a stroller

Singing not being quiet!!!
